# Jordan Gardiner

> Creative technologist in Magandjin (Brisbane), Australia. This site redesigns itself daily and answers questions through Ardo, his agent.

Jordan designs and builds the parts of a product people touch, and has worked across frontend engineering, product design and AI-assisted tooling since 2008. Every link below is a page’s own markdown, with the same words as the page and anything the AI wrote ending “(ai: …)”, naming the models that wrote and checked it.

## Past

- [Past](https://gardiner.today/past.md): Jordan’s case studies, what he’s making lately, who he is and his career timeline since 2008
- [Perhaps the greatest design agency in Brisbane](https://gardiner.today/past/bigfish.md): Bigfish. Senior software engineer, May to October 2026
- [People don’t tolerate bugs when money is involved](https://gardiner.today/past/nagaris.md): Nagaris. Lead frontend engineer, November 2025 to March 2026
- [The biggest piece of tech debt](https://gardiner.today/past/canva.md): Canva. Software engineer, Brand Templates team, March 2023 to July 2025
- [Hey you, let’s brew](https://gardiner.today/past/hai-coffee.md): Hai! Coffee. Independent. Designer and iOS developer, November 2022 to now
- [My standing desk, in Home Assistant](https://gardiner.today/past/ha-desky.md): ha-desky. Independent. Developer, July 2025 to now
- [The product is me](https://gardiner.today/past/this-site.md): gardiner.today. Independent. Design, engineering and AI, October 2026 to now
- [AI](https://gardiner.today/ai.md): Jordan’s seven rules for AI, and every place it runs on this site

## Present

- [Home](https://gardiner.today/index.md): The site’s one sentence, today’s edition of its design and why it changed, and what Jordan is up to at the moment

## Future

- [Future](https://gardiner.today/future.md): Ardo, Jordan’s agent, which answers questions about his work, and the questions to start with

## Agents

- [MCP server](https://gardiner.today/mcp): over Streamable HTTP, no key or account. Tools to search the site and read its pages, case studies, timeline, and today’s edition, and `ask_jordans_agent`, which asks Ardo, Jordan’s agent, one question and answers from the site with a source for each claim. Add it with `claude mcp add --transport http gardiner https://gardiner.today/mcp`. Opened in a browser, the same address is a page about it for people.
- [A2A agent card](https://gardiner.today/.well-known/agent-card.json): Ardo for other agents, over A2A’s JSON-RPC at https://gardiner.today/a2a, one skill, “Ask about Jordan’s work”.
- WebMCP: Ardo’s composer in the Future rail is the declared tool `ask_jordan`, and the search page’s field is `search_site`. Neither sends itself; the visitor does.
- Structured data: every page carries a schema.org `Person` in JSON-LD.
- [This file, for people](https://gardiner.today/llms): a page showing this index as an assistant reads it.

## Optional

- [Career timeline](https://gardiner.today/past.md): one line each for iOnline, Griffith University, JSAcreative, Popgun Labs, GetFU, Outfit.io, foundU, on the Past page
- [Privacy](https://gardiner.today/privacy.md): What the site keeps about a visitor, where it goes, how long it stays, and how to ask for it

Hi, I’m Ardo.

Ardo: Jordan’s agent. I’ve read his case studies, his career and everything he’s written here, so ask me what he’s built, how he works or whether he’d suit your role. I can pass him a note too.

Prefer your own assistant? It can read everything here and ask me too: mcp
